Women’s Day Out! Join us for Backcountry Skills Improvement with Ski Divas and The American Alpine Club. Come improve your backcountry skiing/riding skills in a constructive fun environment with ski mountaineering guide, freeskiing champion, and Ski Divas founder Jessica Baker. Come meet your fellow backcountry divas and learn new tricks of the trade in the beautiful Teton mountain range. The course will cover decision making, snow science, ski technique, avalanche response, powder skiing, and more.
From the AAC: “The American Alpine Club is proud to announce its new partnership with world-renowned skier Jessica Baker. Jessica is not only one of the premier ski guides in the U.S. but is she is also the founder of Ski Divas, ski camps for women worldwide. Jessica will be offering a women’s only 1-day intro into backcountry skiing in Jackson, WY. This is a great time to learn some of the basics and meet other women that are interested in backcountry skiing. Jessica also works for Exum Mountain Guides, Jackson Hole Alpine Guides, Jackson Hole Mountain Sports School, Alaska Rendezvous Heli Guides and Ariel Boundaries. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to spend a day with the best; the AAC feels lucky to have her in town for a day in between her trips to France and Alaska.”
